American author and teacher who is best known for her 1912 children's classic Greyfriars Bobby which recounts the famous story of the eponymous dog.  
Her ashes were buried at the foot of her Mother's grave.  Eleanor had no grave marker until September 2017 when a memorial was added by the Jasper County Historical Society.
