Guatemalan journalist, literary critic and writer who worked in Europe for most of his career.  He was married to the Salvadoran-French writer and artist Consuelo Suncín, who was later married to Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.  Gómez Carrillo was also famous for his travels, bohemian lifestyle and his notorious numerous love affairs.  He was also falsely accused of being the one that betrayed Mata Hari and gave the famous German spy to the French during World War I.
