Location: Cremated.  His urn is buried at Roxbury Center Cemetery, Roxbury, Connecticut, USA. Three of his brothers, his third wife and his daughter received some of his ashes.  His daughter scattered her portion of his ashes at the ruins of Carrigogunnell Castle and Mungret Abbey, Co. Limerick, Ireland

Angela's Ashes details his impoverished childhood in Limerick. He also authored 'Tis (1999), which continues the narrative of his life, picking up from the end of the previous book and focusing on life as a new immigrant in America.
