Russian-Soviet poet, translator and writer. She is known for Leningrad Diary (1946), her firsthand account of civilian life during the Siege of Leningrad. In 1946 she received an esteemed governmental award (Gosudarstvennaya premiya SSSR) for her siege-time poem Pulkovsky meridian.
